Let's get started Tip 1:  Work at your level If listening comprehension is a big challenge for you, and you want to work on that specifically, start with a simple scene involving just a few people in a quiet environment

And Tip 5:  Set manageable goals for yourself Don't try to learn 100 new words or phrases a day That's too many Make it your goal to really learn 5 or 6 When you learn them in context and review them for seven days, that will get you good results

点击查词，添加生词本这些功能基本是英语阅读类APP的标配了，但是西梅还有很特别的一点是，一打开生词本的时候会只显示单词和音标，可以先自行回忆一下TA的意思，然后再点击显示答案。

我大学读的是英语专业，大三时的口语老师是个叫Vincent的法国人。那是2004年，他当着我们的面把我们学校发的课本扔进垃圾桶，以后每次上课只带一张碟，给我们放**电视剧。他教我们通过看剧学**，说他的英语口语就是这么学出来的。

学英语的你一定听过很多人这么告诉你：看剧可以学英语。然而，剧追了多少年，**看了无数部，为什么在英语上没有一丁点提高？

我一边自己通过这种方法学习，一边在小红书上更新我的学习视频笔记。我有以下几点感触：

1 看剧重点学的是口语表达

我们常常有这样一种感觉，明明学了好多年英语，看**或是跟老外说话时竟然还是常常不明白他们在说什么。这是因为不论是本国专家还是海外机构编写的英语教材，口语相关不论从数量还是内容来讲都十分有限。就算是买一本《英语俚语大全》，学习者如果不加辨别地使用，往往也会因为用错语境弄巧成拙。没有母语英语环境的人学出来的英语都比较中规中矩，对于生活用语、俚语、常用语等的积累都非常有限。

而通过学习影视剧的对话，我们可以逐渐积累这方面的用法。英语里口语表达方式多是由一些很简单的词语组成，容易记得住。影视剧中真实的场景对话，也易于我们了解这些俚语、常见句、固定用法的使用语境。坚持好好把一部或一集片子啃下来能学到好多日常用法。

2 选择合适的影视片

不是每部讲英语的片子都适合学英语。故事背景、题材不同，表现人物不同，语言也会千差万别。专业性太强的题材，如律政题材，刑侦题材就不适合小白学英语。像表现街头混混故事的作品某些口语太随意，就不建议大家当做初级口语学习的题材。

适合学英语的作品节奏适中，剧情轻松。这些片子本身评分不一定特别高，却不影响它被列入学英语的名单中来。

我在小红书发《看**学英语》选择的第一部资源是安妮海瑟薇和罗伯特德尼罗合演的《实习生》。这部戏轻松活泼，有美国**的那种套路和不经意的小幽默，整体语言简单却不随意。尤其是，这部讲职场的剧，提供了很多适合在职场使用的语言和礼仪规范，特别适合初入职场的人拿来学习。

3 反复多次观看、精看并做笔记

为了给大家录制学习视频，我已经把《实习生》看了不下30遍。我发现，看了这么多遍，许多原以为自己已经掌握的场景和对话还是有新知识被发现，再次挖掘总有新的收获。

学英语时，虽然**有中文翻译字幕，我还是会把不熟悉的词组或语法记在本子上，并抱起我的《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》反复查看，做笔记，通过学习英文解释确保我全面的理解它的意思和用法。如果没有被收录，我还会去网上搜索相关资料，尽可能地搞清楚用法。

很多朋友以为看**学英语就是坚持追剧，但是只看不记是无效的，看多少不也无济于事。把一部剧看十遍好过看十部剧来的有用得多。
